Table and other changes – November 2022

[edit]

Hi @Revirvlkodlaku. I offer the following regarding your reverting my changes to the Emilie Johnson article.

Emilie Johnson was one of the early articles I expanded. Periodically, I like to go back to reformat, grammatically enhance, and make maintenance changes to all of my articles.

In this case:

  • Reformatted the table to make it consistent with all of my other articles where I employ tables.
*Removed all IMDb references in the primary article and the table per Wikipedia SOP.
*Removed a reference in the section heading.
*Collapsed the table
*Corrected all the LOC links which had changed
*Hyperlinked all names in the table, including Stories and Screenplays
*Cosmetic change to - Based on WGA screenwriting credit system
*Cosmetic change color to the table to make it less tedious and more consistent with her son's film references — Emory Johnson
Regarding dashes, — I've had more people correcting all "-" in all of my articles to various forms of "{{dash}}" than I can count. What's your rationale for this correction? Michael Jannetta (talk) 20:45, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Michael Jannetta, thank you for the explanation, I'm grateful for the thoroughness with which you've outlined your changes. Here are a few questions and requests I have:
  1. I'm unfamiliar with the style of table you've introduced to the article, and I wonder, might it be beneficial, as well as more aesthetically pleasing, to leave it uncollapsed?
  2. There seem to be far too many hyperlinks in the table you introduced—could all linking repetition be avoided?

Thanks! Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 02:17, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Revirvlkodlaku
Could we agree to the following:
You would agree to revert all changes in the table.
I would agree to default the table to uncollapsed and remove all redundant links.
Thanks! Michael Jannetta (talk) 00:42, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Done! :) Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 02:20, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
