Untitled[edit]

I want to set up a separate page for a different but also notable Emma Barton, the Birmingham 19-20th century pioneer photographer. What is the best way to do this without causing confusion with this page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.73.145.242 (talk) 14:49, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article would have to be created with a disambiguator in the title. I would suggest creating the page at Emma Barton (photographer), and placing a disambiguation link on this article. However, you must log in to create an article. There are many benefits to creating an account, but if you don't want to do this, you can request the article. anemone|projectors 22:00, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Birthday[edit]

I removed the birthdate, as it was wonge, per this interview in May 2007, where she says she's 29 and that she's been incorrectly aged 2 years [1] Gungadin 01:28, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was at the same school as her and have my old yearbooks. The claimed date of 29 February 1976 would have put her in the same year as me, but she was actually in the year below, so assuming she was born in February, it must have been of 1977. I think it's one of those PR things where she's adopted an "interesting" birthday, but it simply isn't possible for someone in that school year to have been born on 29 February. BTW, her expression in the class photo for Form 2Q is excellent - I don't think anyone could have guessed her career path back then, but with hindsight...! - 88.110.7.33 (talk) 18:54, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I see someone's changed the date to 1978, but again this cannot be true. She must have been born between mid-1976 and mid-1977. Curiously, despite her ever-moving and never-correct date-of-birth, the dates given for her being at Horndean Community School are actually correct. --89.168.182.143 (talk) 14:02, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted the year of birth to 1978 because this source says she was born then [2] If we want to say she's born in 1976 or 1977 then a published source is needed. IMDB is not reliable. Plus in May 2007, the actress is complaining in this source [3] about being aged two years, she was 29 at the time according to her, meaning she either turned 29 between Jan and May in 2007 or turned 30 between june and December 2007. Therefore, she was either born in 1978 or 1977 and cant have been born in 1976, according to her in that interview.GunGagdinMoan 19:57, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Her birth year has been pretty stable at 1977 for some time. Are we sure this is correct? If not, we can use {{Birth based on age as of date}} along with the date the Mirror article was published (2007-05-20) and her age at the time (29), which will tell us she was born in either 1977 or 1978 and is either 31 or 32 years old as of today.
