Notability
[edit]Stubs should show rationale for notability. The only references I see in this article point specifically to 2 small academic institutions and local media only. Hence, this person's "notability" is not "clear" at all. Reverting earlier edit to replace notability notice. An example for comparison, is, if we look at all the Guggenheim Fellows, and pick a random fellow with a WP entry and do a comparison. (i.e. compare George Saunders with this person.) Cowbert (talk) 22:21, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Wouldn't you say a Guggenheim Fellowship is a notable award or honor per WP:PROF #6? Jfire (talk) 05:10, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Not every Guggenheim Fellow in WP has an entry. In fact, very few number of people listed by Guggenheim Fellowship have a WP entry (which is why notability criteria for inclusion should compare to existing entries of such fellows). Cowbert (talk) 10:27, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- BTW, "Fresh Air" is a nationally broadcast public radio show. It's far from "local media". Jfire (talk) 05:14, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- You had 3 links to documents or media created by affiliation to Simon's Rock College, where this person is a faculty member. A bit biased, don't you think? With the NYT and Washington Post links, it is satisfactory. Cowbert (talk) 10:27, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
