note[edit]

Dear Author/s,

I first of all want to thank you and commend your efforts for listing the Endangered Language Fund. I am a student at Montana State University and I am in a Federal Indian Law class whose instructor has given us assignments to work with wikipedia ...In particular within the subject matter of Federal Indian Law. ELF has been a strong supporter for Native American language revitalization efforts and I personally belong to an organization that is benefitting from one of the many grants ELF distributes. If possible I'd like to try and contribute to this article by bringing in references that pertain to Native American Langugage efforts. I do understand it is a world wide effort so as not to take away from that focus I don't expect to over power the article with the NA situation but will place other aspects of their cultural revitatlization in other corresponding articles. Please let me know your thoughts and ideas. I will offer some resources for this article if you don't mind. Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you.

-To the authors- I am also a student at Montana State University, and I thought that while this is an important organization that should indeed have it's own page, I think there is much more that could be written here and more info and citations added. Specifically, possibly finding and listing the languages that the Fund is protecting and the tribes it is involved with. I sincerely hope that Kaluppis will be able to help expand this stub and turn in into a more engaging and info-filled article. I am not sure exactly where all this info would come from and how legit the sources on the internet about ELF will be, but again I think Kaluppis will be able to find that out for you guys. I also think that more background about the president and the Fund would be useful as well. Papercanvas (talk) 18:51, 28 February 2011 (UTC)Papercanvas[reply]
