Obsolete term

[edit]

I'm not a mental health specialist but, AFAIK, the distinction between reactive and endogenous depression is no longer used

My reading and experience suggests this as well. The term reactive depression now goes to attachment disorder, and it appears that 'endogenous depression' is now just called major depressive disorder. I think this page should be merged with or redirected to major depressive disorder, maybe adding an historical note there about older term. Minerva9 (talk) 14:54, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Abnormal Sexual Behaviour

[edit]

This was tagged to Watkins 1994 reference, but there is nothing in the paper about sexual behaviors.

Confusing description: "atypical subclass"

[edit]

At present in the introduction it states that endogenous depression is an atypical subclass of depression. This should be rephrased or at least clarified, as "[mood disorder] with atypical features" (often referred to as atypical depression) is a thing which actually corresponds more closely to reactive depression.
