Rename[edit]

This article should be "Electricity Production in Israel". Energy in Israel is too broad; there are many forms of energy unrelated to this article. M Carling 19:54, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The standard on Wikipedia is to have for every country an article discussing Energy and another one more specific for the electricity sector. For example: Energy in the United Kingdom and Electricity sector in the United Kingdom. This article is about energy in Israel, including primary energy production and import, electricity, etc. --Ita140188 (talk) 11:27, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification[edit]

I removed a request for clarification template about the primary energy imports. The sentence is clear if the reader knows the meaning of primary energy; I can imagine many people don't, that's why I added a wikilink to the relevant page. However, I think it's redundant to explain its meaning in this article. --Ita140188 (talk) 11:34, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I admit that I'm not an energy expert, and/but one thing I don't understand is this: "Total primary energy consumption was 285.5 TWh (0.974 quad) in 2011". If this is talking about primary energy, how do you measure it in watts? Does it mean that if, for example, you consume 11.63 MWh you will say that the total primary energy consumption is 1 toe ? Also is it common to measure primary energy in watts, considering that the electricity produced depends on the efficiency of the power plant and other factors? Just seems to me like something that non-experts wouldn't understand. —Ynhockey (Talk) 13:18, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Primary energy is energy, so it can be measured in any of the equivalent (after conversion) units of measure for energy, such as Joule, Watt-hour (not to be confused with Watt), toe etc. Usually primary energy is measured in toe because most of energy in the world comes from hydrocarbons. Maybe measuring it in Wh is misleading, but this can be changed. --Ita140188 (talk) 17:56, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I absolutely agree with your assessment 2601:47:4B00:C60:1AA:E00A:C569:3CCB (talk) 01:24, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Jewish transition from Africa to Europe and back[edit]

Please explain the choice to live in Europe where you are not welcome and then cry when you are persecuted. Now imagine an opportunity to relocate for free in another country off ur family's suffering and have an exclusive title (antisemitism) that's like a joker's wild card matching with anything. Your attempt to take claim on high crimes is weak compared to slavery and Jim Crow 2601:47:4B00:C60:1AA:E00A:C569:3CCB (talk) 01:16, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's also very selfish and inconsiderate to have or display sympathy for others plight 2601:47:4B00:C60:1AA:E00A:C569:3CCB (talk) 01:19, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Edit from last statement- It is inconsiderate and selfish to not have empathy for other's atrocities 2601:47:4B00:C60:1AA:E00A:C569:3CCB (talk) 01:22, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
