Deletion?

[edit]

To propose deleting a new page informing about a collective effort of all major US engineering societies with, combined, over a million registered members due to lacking notability is hard to understand. As the new organization ETHW was established at the beginning of 2015, there are not many secondary sources available so far. I have added three references.

Wikipedia articles should be about subjects which are notable, as established by secondary sources. An expectation that the subject may soon become notable is not enough.
I see that the first reference you have added is not from an independent source, and the other two do not mention the subject. If you can't currently find acceptable sources, I suggest that you wait until reputable independent journals have written about the ETHW, and then re-create the article. More secondary sources

[edit]

I got in contact with a Digital Content Administrator for ETHW at the Stevens Institute of Technology. He writes that there will be publications at the Institute and in IEEE-USA InSight next month. Therefore, I propose to maintain the WP article on ETHW until these references become available.

Have added secondary sources in the meantime. BBCLCD (talk) 15:28, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
