English Coonhound[edit]

English Coonhound is the correct terminology for this breed, "redtick" is a euphemism. it is classified by the UKC as the English Coonhound. Blockader (talk) 03:07, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just to confuse things more, the AKC is granting full recognition to the breed as the American English Coonhound. Miyagawa (talk) 22:38, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
