Though it pained me to do it, I deleted much of the added material after the first couple of paragraphs; this is not an example of personal bias, but it simply had little or no relevance to the topic, discussing as it did ancient seafloor deposits and areas of the American interior that might be threatened by sea level rise. Perhaps it can be incorporated into the article some way, but in my op, not as it was then presented. Again, I meant no offense by this.Erimus (talk) 18:32, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested merge: Inland sea (geology)[edit]

I've suggested the merge, as the two articles cover precisely the same topic. The title "epeiric sea" has only the advantage of an adjective formed from Greek that is impenetrable to the average Wikipedia reader.--Wetman (talk) 18:39, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
