[edit]

Hey there! I am working on this page as part of a project for my neurobiology under graduate class. My main goal of my edits was to simply add more information to the pretty basic Wikipedia page.

I began four new sections to help cover the areas of research that seemed pertinent to the topic of ephaptic coupling in the literature. Firstly, I gave examples of the application of ephaptic coupling under the section titled “Examples.” This section basically gives physiological meaning to a phenomenon that is often studied theoretically.

Then, I included two sections about the major ways in which the coupling is studied: primarily through “Mathematical models,” then secondarily through “Animal models.” I think these help give further concrete understanding of how ephaptic coupling is measured or predicted.

Lastly, I added a section titled “Skepticism.” I think this section is important because it keeps the topic up to date on possible contradictions that may occur while this fairly new theory is fleshed out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mmwegerer (talkcontribs) 20:12, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
