Merge with preprint

[edit]

There isn't much substance to this article, but not because of a present void which might be rectified by someone filling out the content. No; it's because there isn't much to even fill out. It's just a digital preprint. The only thing that you could hope to be added to this article is maybe details of digital distribution. The preprint article already handles that, and it's not outside the scope of that article to do so.

If anyone feels like taking on the effort to go through the procedure, I suggest a merge with preprint. -- C. A. Russell (talk) 20:44, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I feel that such a merge would be detrimental. As, in my opinion, the concept of e-print entails an ideology of freedom (both as in beer and as in speech) that is irrelevant to the preprint article. As such, I also believe there is more to be written on the subject, but I lack sufficient familiarity. Falcor84 14:19, 12 July 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Falcor84 (talkcontribs)

Do we need a disambiguation page?

[edit]

If this page is not merged, should there at least be a disambiguation page?

A user interested in "eprint" could be interested in any of the following pages:

and

This is terribly confusing. (I was interested in the HP technology when I came in.)
