Comment in Norwegian[edit]

— Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.181.217.57 (talk) 23:21, October 10, 2005 (UTC)

Period[edit]

I edited a sentence which had "Jr.." at the end. The two letters "Jr" are an English abbreviation for the word "Junior" and, as with all English abbreviations, they are immediately followed by a period. But the punctuation rule is that when a sentence ends in an abbreviation there is only one period: "An abbreviating period, however, is never omitted before a mark of sentence punctuation unless the latter is the period terminating the sentence:..."[1] So I removed the extra period.
