Rewrite[edit]

Found this on the Skepticism stub list - I don't think this person was ever a CSI Fellow and I've never heard of him. Let me see what I can come up with. If you have anything to add, please do so here as I may not notice if you directly edit the live Wikipedia page. Sgerbic (talk) 06:54, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Well this was a simple rewrite as there wasn't a lot to find. I could have used small articles from Newspapers.com but it would have just padded the Wikipedia page, and we don't want that. The Boston Globe obit was terrific, it had so many interesting bits and pieces that I used it quite a bit. Same with the Naples Daily News from 1991, that article has such a nice photo of him sitting on his couch with his tennis things on and roses next to him. I hope we can find a photo or two, I'll look around a bit more and ask people, maybe someone has something. I think the UFO section could be expanded on quite a bit. I left it this way in the hopes it will. Some of the author section could easily be used in the UFO area.
So I really enjoyed this, learned about "County Hunters" which was very interesting. I liked that his son gave a description of his father, that really makes Taves much more clear in my head. As usual, I will keep this page on my watchlist for some weeks and eventually remove it, so if you are trying to get my attention, please reach out to me directly as I might miss this talk page. A bit of arcane trivia. Taves apparently held Amateur radio callsigns K1KPS [1] and WA4MMR [2], depending on his residence. The “1” prefix is for the northeast US location (Cambridge MA) and the “4” prefix is for southeastern US (Naples FL). - LuckyLouie (talk) 14:36, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
