Notability

[edit]

The article needs further WP:RS citing to confirm notability per WP:GNG. I tagged the article accordingly. K.e.coffman (talk) 00:33, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly, although the combination of the Oakleaves and command of a panzer division (albeit briefly in the last gasps of the war) indicate he may meet GNG (per WP:SOLDIER) if sufficient effort is put into locating sources. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 09:54, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notability, take 2

[edit]

A possible WP:SOLDIER pass with the command of a division, but this occurred in the last month of the war, whereas it's unlikely that the division represented a "substantial body of troops in combat" (SOLDIER #5) at that point, as the units were disintegrating or being destroyed. But no objection to restoration it it can be shown that the subject has done something significant. For now, a list entry would be sufficient.

No de.wiki article either.

According to Mitcham, was an acting divisional commander for less than a week source, before General Hans Hecker took over on 1 April 1945. K.e.coffman (talk) 07:00, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
