Merge?[edit]

Should this be merged with paillard, another stub about a different term for the same thing? 75.57.125.157 (talk) 01:54, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

tenderloin?[edit]

should mention be made here of pork tenderloin sandwich? I used to prepare them at a bar and grill and they are pounded before breading.

Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that Paillard be merged into Escalopes, as was previously suggested above. The content in the paillard article can easily be explained in the context of escalopes, as the paillard article itself mentions that paillard is an older term now primarily used in the USA while the more current term used in France is escalopes. Both terms describe the same item (pounded meat). Merging of paillard into escalopes will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned.
