Inherent Problems[edit]

One of the inherent problems with this article seems to come from the apparent misunerstanding from the outset that the play dates from 1927. The article was initially named 'Escape (1927 Play)'. The misnomer was corrected in due course (a re-direct for the original title still exists) but the bias towards the American 1927 production (predated by at least two British productions had persisted). I have tried to correct the misconceptions and inbalances whilst preserving much of the information on the 1927 production largely for the interest of American readers. However, the lack of inline references for the original article persists and needs further work. Davidbrookesland (talk) 05:43, 24 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Gerald Ames & Winthrop Ames[edit]

I have included a remark that these two thespians were not related; by which I mean I cannot find any evidence that they were. It seems an interesting coincidence that these two should have both been involved with 'Escape' on different sides of the Atlantic in 1927. Davidbrookesland (talk) 06:06, 24 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
