(re speedy deletion) Yes this article is nothing but the first sentence of the wikipedia Spanish article. But so what? According to google, there are "about 14,400 English pages for escrache". Nlevitt 20:29, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
I don't know how to do it, but this should not redirect to Stalking. Escraches have nothing to do with stalking. If somebody can get this fixed, I'll start translating the Spanish page. Phoenixer (talk) 21:24, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

- This is argentinian slang, as described at the beginning of the article: Escrache is the name given in Argentina, Uruguay and Spain.... The article should concentrate in the aspects of the slang word, and not in the actions performed by what escrache is supposed to be. - See here. The activity known as "escrache" is not something invented or started in Argentina, it was already used in Nazi Germany and the fascist Italy. Of course, not under that name. The only thing specific to Argentina is the local name for it, but that hardly means we should have an article for something that would be otherwise named just "Lynching in Argentina". - Cambalachero, Lynching is public execution. Escrache is a type of public humiliation which involves a demonstration, usually peaceful, and often at a public official's home. Quoting an editorial article isn't convincing. It is like saying that character assassination should redirect to assassination because an op-ed says the former is just as bad as the latter. In any case, this article has useful information, and at the very least should be merged into another article if you think there is one where it should go. Stalking or public demonstration is certainly a better candidate than lynching, but please place a merge notice on the article before deleting this article again.
