According to nba.com, Thomas was traded to Washington during the 2000-01 season, and not in 2002:

Selected by Dallas Mavericks in first round (12th overall pick) of the 2000 NBA Draft after being a defensive standout at Syracuse. Acquired by the Washington Wizards in a 2000-01 mid-season trade. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.116.117.190 (talkcontribs)

Name

[edit]

Is his name Hebrew? Badagnani (talk) 08:19, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, the king's name was ancient Egyptian. The NBA bio says his name is derived from name of a much noted pharoah. (It's speculated that Hebrew was influenced by ancient Egyptian, and less the other way around.) Current entry>> His name is derived from the 18th dynasty "heretic pharaoh" Akhenaten, an ancient African (Egyptian) king.[1]<< Yohananw (talk) 20:37, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
