Inaccurate population statistics

[edit]

In the first sentence of the article, it refers to population statistics that the source says are from 1994. It should be updated to reflect the current demographics.CaramelizedMargaritaLime (talk) 20:55, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Requires Citations

[edit]

This article requires further citations and clarifications, particularly given the history that inflammatory rhetoric has played in fueling ethnic conflict in Africa, especially Rwanda, and the potential for misinformation related to genocide. For example, a sentence in the introduction describes the Hutu as “subjugated” by the Tutsi, without citation. This may or may not be true; if it is, it requires further context and sources. 96.33.76.137 (talk) 14:16, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccurate Summary

[edit]

In the opening paragraph, the article states "The Belgians and later the Hutus propagated the myth that Hutus were the superior ethnicity." This does not refelct the content of the article, which suggests Tutsi ethnic superiority was propagated by the Belgians. A correction and possible rephrasing may be needed to accurately reflect the history of this complicated and sensitive topic. 89.14.44.152 (talk) 08:07, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
