Gigout's name is often misspelled 'Gigot', just google 'organist gigot'or 'composer gigot'. I believe this began with intentional teasing in his youth, but my only source so far is a programme note. The misspelling is a verifiable fact but I suppose it too needs a good secondary source these days. I will * this page & dig further when I can but would appreciate help.
