Tone[edit]

The tone of this article is too hagiographic. Wholesale excision is called for. There are also numerous grammatical problems.

That was my first reaction, too, even at a brief glance — and I've always been a great admirer of Prof. Weber. i'm not familiar with wiki policy and procedures - so i don't know what to do about the mention of book "Eugen Weber The Greatest Historian of our Times" in the IMPACTS section - it adds no information about the subject - talking only about itself --Jeyon (talk) 22:49, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation note[edit]

I just had a conversation with someone and we realized that neither of us had any idea how Weber pronounced his last name.
