Fair use rationale for Image:Eutelsat.png[edit]

Image:Eutelsat.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:50, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 3 external links on Eutelsat. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Article needs updates - Eutelsat acquires OneWeb and creates "Eutelsat Group"[edit]

As I noted on the Talk page for OneWeb, on 28 September 2023, Eutelsat announced the completion of the acquisition of OneWeb, and also that:

  • OneWeb will now be rebranded "Eutelsat OneWeb" (and this has already changed)
  • Both the original "Eutelsat S.A." and the new "Eutelsat OneWeb" will now be subsidiaries of a larger "Eutelsat Group".

Both this EutelSat article and the OneWeb article will need updates to accompany this change. Right now the main information seems to be primary sources:

So far I've seen one CNBC article (with video interview at end) but not yet many other articles. I expect we'll see more in the week ahead.

I started a couple of updates to the OneWeb article, but have not yet done anything here on Eutelsat.

Given that this article is about "Eutelsat S.A.", I'm not sure what makes sense. Do we just incorporate mention of "Eutelsat Group" into THIS article? Or do we create a completely separate article for "Eutelsat Group"? (which then links to this article and the OneWeb article)

What do people suggest as the best way forward? - Dyork (talk) 16:07, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think there needs to be a separate article for Eutelsat Group, linking to the current two articles. Davidbstanley (talk) 09:13, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
