To which "Inland Empire" does the text refer?

Years Aging
I just bought a 1.75 liter bottle of Evan Williams (Black Label) and cannot find the familiar "Aged 7 Years" label anywhere on it! (Instead it says only "Extra Aged." And I'm pretty sure I can taste the difference. It's bland, like Old Crow. The real Evan Williams has a nice, full, sludgy, fungusy taste.) This calls for some investigation on the "7 years" claim--to find a valid source regarding any changes in the recipe, or varieties sold in the domestic (U.S.) market. I'd do it myself, but I'm too deep into the bottle to do anything useful tonight.
It looks like the "Inland Empire" guy was a college kid celebrating the end of the school year--that's my guess anyway.
I apologize for the lack of a decent signature, but I'm a new editor.

EW GREEN = Heaven Hill 80? According to Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2006, the basic 80 proof version of Evan Williams (which I believe is the green label) is the same product as a dozen other Heaven Hill 80 proof bourbons: Aristocrat, Mark Twain, Colonel's Pride and JW Dant being some. I can't confirm this elsewhere, so I'm adding a note here. I'll put some more research in as I can, but if anyone can confirm this it would make a good addition to either this or the Heaven Hill Distillery page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tirdun (talkcontribs) 12:56, August 27, 2007 (UTC)
