Word Evangelical in Title[edit]

The translation of the church's name Ceskobratrska cirkev evangelicka – Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren that is used in the title is misleading. I suggest changing it to Protestant Church of Czech Brethren. It may seem as a trifle but this really is not an evangelical church. It is a mainline protestant church. This mistake came probably from that that in Czech there are two seemingly similar words – evangelicka and evangelikalni. Evangelical is a translation of the word evangelikalni. However the church is called evangelicka which means something like “realizing the importance of Gospel”. This is why I think that this page should be headed differently. That's all true, but the fact is, that's the official translation that the church itself uses. See official site of the church in English. It's what I had in my papers when I travelled to the USA on invitation from a partnered congregation there. So that's what the article ought to use and the above complaint should be taken up within the church itself, not aimed at the Wiki article...
By the way, it's actually the other way round - "evangelikální" is a translation of "evangelical". Seeing as it's a newer concept and a newer word in Czech. ;) 90.178.202.206 (talk) 09:08, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
