Suggested Addition to Awards Section[edit]

{{request edit}}

I am a member of the NEA's Public Affairs Department. I would like to suggest the following addition to Eve Queler's bio:

Eve Queler is the recipient of a 2010 NEA Opera Honors Award.

This information can be verified here: http://www.arts.gov/honors/opera/media/2010-opera-honorees.html

Year of birth[edit]

I amended all references to her age of birth. As the New York Times states: "An earlier version of this review misstated Eve Queler’s age. Although several sources give her age as 76, the Opera Orchestra of New York says she is 81." I can only assume that the reviewer is referring to this article! In any case, my partner is in her orchestra, and has known her for years. He assures me that she looks fabulous at 81 years of age. Bearian (talk) 22:19, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the official alumni association lists her year of graduation as 1948. If she had been born in 1936, then she would have finished high school at the age of 12 and entered college while not even a teen; she's no Doogie Howser. It's more logical to assume that she was 17 years old in 1948, thus her year of birth is 1931. Bearian (talk) 22:34, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
