Meiner Ansicht nach sollte auch erwähnt werden das Alvarez in seiner Zeit als Gefangener im HANOI-HILTON von nordvietnamesischen Geheimdienst bei den Verhören von einem Kamerateam des DEUTSCHEN FERNSEHFUNKS ( DFF ) [ Anmerkung: Der Sender DFF war bis 1990 das Staatsfernsehen der DDR oder OST-DEUTSCHLAND ] gefilmt und befragt wurde. Die Aufnahmen wurden unter dem Titel: SOLDATEN IN PYJAMAS.... als anti-imperialistischer und USA-feindlicher Film in der DDR gezeigt. ...keine Quellenangabe da Info frei im Internet abrufbar

In my opinion, Alvarez should also be mentioned during his time as a prisoner in the HANOI-HILTON of the North Vietnamese secret service during the interrogation by a camera team of the GERMAN TELEVISION RADIO (DFF) [Note: The station DFF was the state television of the GDR or EAST GERMANY until 1990 ] was filmed and interviewed. The recordings were shown under the title: SOLDIERS IN PAJAMAS .... as an anti-imperialist and US-hostile film in the GDR. ... no source information as information is freely available on the Internet

Everett Alvarez J.[edit]

Everett Alvarez J. may have been the first American pilot shot down and a POW in Vietnam, but he was not the first American soldier to become a POW in Vietnam.
