Fair use rationale for Image:Evergreen Airlines logo.gif[edit]

Image:Evergreen Airlines logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

International Peace Operations Association[edit]

Evergreen International is listed on the IPOA wiki as having membership in that organization; IPOA is a trade association for private military contractors. Does anyone know what private military industry sector activities Evergreen is active in? I'm mostly curious more than anything. Atypicaloracle (talk) 06:59, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Quote from Wikipedia's article on Air America -

'After pulling out of South Vietnam in 1975, there was an attempt to keep a company presence in Thailand; after this fell through, Air America officially disbanded on June 30, 1976, and was later purchased by Evergreen International Airlines, which continues to provide support for U.S. covert operations[6].'

Don't know how well researched that statement is, but there you go! :)

Registration N473EV, wrong information[edit]

Right now your article ist better than our German one but I think this is wrong: 'registered N473EV, which suffered an in-flight engine separation in 1993'. See Accident descriptionon on Aviation Safety Network the aircraft with the Registration N473EV was Japan Air Lines flight 46E and no Evergreen International Airlines flight. It is mentioned that before the accident the JAL 46E cabin crew got some information by the pilot of an Evergreen B-747, who reported severe turbulence, so someone must have mixed things up... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.177.61.29 (talk) 14:11, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The same (wrong?) information about that incident is given twice in 'History' and 'Incidents and accidents'. And Broken References Link: [NTSB Report DCA93MA033] 84.177.66.124 (talk) 14:25, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dead link[edit]

The footnote reference #15 is currently a dead link. I am unable to repair it at this time because I'm browsing on a mobile device.
