Backing vocalist credit (Norma Jean / Norma Jean Wright)

[edit]

Originally the article listed Norma Jean as one of the backing vocalists on this album; however, the actual backing vocalist is Norma Jean Wright, who is listed as 'Norma Jean' on some releases, including this album, so I have corrected the article. Here are the reasons behind the edit:

- In some personal correspondence with series composer Jon Stroll, he said that some of the backing vocalists (Tawatha Agee and Brenda White-King) had worked with Luther Vandross. That would prove Norma Jean Wright is the backing vocalist here, because she also worked with Luther Vandross as well as with the other backing vocalists.

- The show's music was recorded in New York (according to Jon Stroll), where Norma Jean Wright was based, whereas Norma Jean wasn't based there. Of course, there had been singers on the soundtrack who weren't based in New York (e.g. Leo Sayer, Dottie West, Luba), but note that these were people who sang the lead vocals. For the backing vocals, they used session singers who were based in the area so they would conveniently be right there on call for when they were needed without having to travel too far, so it would make more sense for the producers to get the locally-based Norma Jean Wright to do a backing vocal session. This, along with the connection with Luther Vandross and two of the other backing vocalists, should prove that the correct backing vocalist here is Norma Jean Wright, not Norma Jean. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.45.255.101 (talk) 14:24, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: I believe this album isn't notable so have undid the IP edit that undid the change to a redirect..
