244Pu detection[edit]

Although scientific evidence might be sky high, the prove to the presence of 244Pu outside the laboratory - and especially in Gy old samples - is only circumstantial. The use of the verbs in the article suggest a real detection in those old samples. I just don't know how to rephrase the sentences to express the evidence is overwhelming but without saying 244Pu was there.T.vanschaik (talk) 08:04, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The evidence is actually even higher, since we have found live 244Pu of interstellar origin (from the r-process in nearby supernovae) on Earth. What I do wonder is how Pu is relevant to this article, as it's not superheavy; if it is to remain, perhaps "transuranium" is better, and then we should also consider extinct 247Cm. validity?[edit]
