Impartiality and longwindedness[edit]

This artice is written in a slightly partisan style. However, the main problem is longwindedness. Sentence are very long - with little afterthoughts being tagged onto the end. It is written like an unfolding news story. Then he did this, then he did that, now he's doing this... To be an encyclopedic article it should be a straightforward description of this person. It is not about the wrongs and rights of the election - but that should be included, briefly, to give context. Describing the election, it would be good to quote the percentage of the vote for the top candidates. It will be obvious the winning candidate was not appointed as president - rather than this nonsense about contesting the result. Be bold. Tell the truth and provide references to support it. Include a section to show his acheivements as president. Stop linking statements to other random subjects. Francis Hannaway (talk) 08:49, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I also think it should be tougher on the 2018 election result. There was well-evidenced widespread fraud; plenty of solid sources had Tshisekedi losing by a huge margin. Given that a new election will take place this year, this article could do with a serious revamp. Anyone agree/disagree before I do something with it?
