MAGO[edit]

I can find no reliable source for the MAGO acronym. An Internet search suggests that it has been invented by Wikipedians, probably German-speaking. Can anybody provide WP:RS for it? — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 20:40, 8 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

See the German Informationen Text in this PDF.. by the X-5098 and X-5099 . IT say what MAGO stand for. http://www.vtg.admin.ch/content/vtg-internet/de/organisation/lw/_jcr_content/contentPar/tabs_476776154/items/dokumente/tabPar/downloadlist/downloadItems/149_1501763449947.download/Militaerische_Kennungen.pdf — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.197.231.71 (talk) 13:32, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you but that is not the point. The source does not use the acronym "MAGO" (indeed, the official abbreviation it does actually give would suggest that MAAGO, with a double-A, would be more appropriate). To use the acronym based on this source amounts to original research, which is not allowed on the English-language wikipedia. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 14:06, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
MAAGO? Think MAGO =Mobile Ausbildungsanlage Grund Operationen. Is right. The "Military short Code" is also possible but this German Mix of big and smale letters ist not very useful in the English Wikipedia. But how ever..with redirections alternative names are possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.197.231.151 (talk) 15:44, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
