Dahlie retired in 1999

True, there is one race in FIS database in 2003, but that is a Marathon Cup race, so that should not be counted here. I will probably change it to 1999. 85.217.44.72 (talk) 23:38, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I got some information from respective article in german wikipedia (it has been changed or it is in different name, I could not find it anymore). However, I checked most of these from FIS web page.
Bjørgen: 48 instead 49, Majdic: 16 instead 24 (Tour de Ski stage wins do not count), Kowalczyk: 15 instead 21 (TdS do not count), Marja-Liisa Kirvesniemi (FIN) has 13 victories (not on list), Britt Pettersen (NOR) has 10 victories (not on list).
Men's list seems to be mostly ok, though Northug should probably have 1 more from this season, and Torgny Mogren (SWE) with 13 & Mika Myllylä (FIN) with 10 are missing. World Cup wins by nation[edit]

Is there a reliable source? For Austria, both Mikhail Botvinov and Christian Hoffmann took two wins, which add up to four. I do not know, however, if the rest of the data are fine. → «« Man77 »» 10:31, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out. Botvinov's race victories were counted for Russia mistakenly. It is corrected now. The table does not rely on any source unfortunately, all the data is extracted from the List of FIS Cross-Country World Cup men's race winners and List of FIS Cross-Country World Cup women's race winners pages. --Pedeshtrian (talk) 17:09, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
