FOCUS at multiple universities? I can find two[edit]

Hey Lasallefan. I have to disagree that a program called FOCUS is at multiple universities. The only other university you cite, La Salle University, has an organization called F.O.C.U.S., but it is completely different and unrelated to the Duke program. If you wish, please add a FOCUS - Fellowship of Community & University Services article. Focus at Duke is a first-year curriculum that involves residential living and classes in a small group setting. According to [1], F.O.C.U.S. at La Salle "is an organization, which fosters campus wide programming and planning of community service activities." These are not even closely related. A google search [2] reveals 25 total hits - 24 are solely talking or referring to the Duke program and one [3] cites Duke as the first university to have the program, but says that Washington University in St. Louis has copied the program. Wash U does seem to have it as well according to [4]. So, that should be added in. That is not to say other universities don't have something similar to FOCUS known by another name. Also, other universities may have a program or organization known as FOCUS that is something completely different. However, these two differences merit new articles and cannot be included in this article unique to this particular FOCUS program, which initially began at Duke. -Bluedog423 05:04, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
