Death

[edit]

Someone posted this at the top of the article:

HEARTBREAKING NEWS:::: all fans cannavaro tragically dies on the 14th of september 2006 at 2.41 pm after a horrific car accident we hope you rest in peace and may we all look at your light

Didn't cite a source and in the wrong section anyway, so reverted. --WikiSlasher 10:45, 14 September 2006 (UTC) Well someone else did, vandalism apparently. There will always be idiots in the world. --WikiSlasher 10:47, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tattoo

[edit]

What do the Chinese characters on Canna's back mean. I couldn't find a translation, or a picture of the tattoo. Does anyone know what it means? The article makes me want to know. ABart26 17:00, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What do the Chinese characters on Canna's back mean? Ans:It's his daughter's name in chinese!!!

Vandalism

[edit]

Someone keeps vandalizing this page, under the article "Footballer of the Year" I'm not sure why, but I'll keep deleteing it, until it is signed and reason given. - Izzo

Fabio Mamerto Cannavaro

[edit]

Is Mamerto his middle name? From what I've heard "mamerto" means dumbass in Spanish. So it smells like vandalism to me. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 200.6.170.202 (talk) 02:29, 22 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Overuse of "fact" tag

[edit]

This seems like trolling, why on earth would there need to be a citation to say that Fabio's brother plays for Napoli, when Paolo Cannavaro even has his own article detailing this? - The Daddy 09:00, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Goals scored for Juventus

[edit]

Could someone check if he really scored 17 goals with juventus.Juve2000 (talk) 20:45, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Italian wiki page says he scored 6. (and, 5 with Parma, and 2 with Napoli; which also contradicts this page). Neier (talk) 13:52, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Added possible transfer

[edit]

Added Bayern Munich as a possible new club. One of the many URL that I can find that state about this: http://www.fansfc.com/story/9508.html Matsaleh (talk) 02:47, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

stupid..

[edit]

I'm not against him fond of indian or chinese women... but it's just strange, and ridiculous to me.. because indians and chinese are of totally different race.. he could be fond of women of a race or ethnicity, not a region or continent.. beside the race, the style of indian and chinese women are also different..

it's like to say. "I like african women, those women from algeria and nigeria are goddesses.........."

This is a place to discuss the quality and veracity of information included in the article, not a forum for citing opinions about Cannavaro. Tapered (talk) 06:26, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Does this comment have any relevance to the main article? Beerni (talk) 08:32, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Club Career

[edit]

Can someone clarify this sentence please? "Cannavaro initially served as the club's ball boy" - Beerni (talk) 08:32, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

FIFA 2010

[edit]

There's unsourced commentary about Cannavaro's performance in the article. Please clean it up, or it will be removed. I watched all 3 games. Subjectively speaking, I saw a horrible mistake in Game 2 and a mediocre first half in Game 3. POV, he didn't play badly, but that's for here not the article. Ciao amici! Tapered (talk) 03:03, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done. No one cited a reference. Tapered (talk) 06:26, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Order of Merit

[edit]

All the members of the squad for the 2006 World Cup were given Italian orders of merit, and as this has been included on the pages of the other players, it should be included here as well.86.158.46.69 (talk) 22:40, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Goals for Al-Ahli

[edit]

Wikipedia claims Cannavaro scored 2 goals in 16 league matches for Al-Ahli. Which matches did he score in?Polarman (talk) 13:38, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Fabio Cannavaro

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Fabio Cannavaro's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "SW":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:29, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
