[edit]

There was a programme of this title on CBS in the daytime in the USA in the early 1960s. It was a celebrity panel game, where the (four) celebrities served as "jurors" in which they were presented (in a brief sketch) the basic facts of a recent case which had been tried in a state court, with the names of the persons actually involved changed for privacy purposes (even though the cases were a matter of public record) and their portrayal being handled by actors, not the actual litigants. It was thus something of a one-off predecessor (by a generation) of later-day "reality" TV trial programs such as The Peoples Court, Judge Joe Brown, Judge Judy, and the like, but with "jurors" rather than being presented as a bench trial. (After the celebrity jurors had voted, their votes were compared with the actual outcome of the trial on which the show had been based.) I believe that history would show that this program aired at 2PM EST weekdays and was cancelled in the fall of 1961 and replaced by Password.

This programme is deserving of its own article, but if it were ever to receive it, there would also need to be disambiguation with the programme addressed in the current article. 72.104.149.253 (talk) 23:45, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
