Very short

This article is too damn short for a song of this stature. Someone needs to come and write some more. "A song written for the world of mass marketing and mass consumption." - is just an interpretation, it's probably one of the more popular ones. Skinnyweed 05:48, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

another question

Canary Wharf

Can someone explain the canary wharf link. it seems very tenuous. Bwithh 23:58, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

There's some discussion on this subject here.
Apparently Thom Yorke states "this song's called Fake Plastic Trees....it's about Canary Wharf" on Live at the Astoria. If someone has this VHS/DVD, they could maybe confirm this fact? --David Edgar 15:47, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Opening

The song isn't about CO2 capture (Thom Yorke has desribed it as being about "going shopping" and "Canary Wharf"), but does appear to use a geoengineering reference metaphorically. Perhaps this should be noted. Fester Smith (talk) 03:08, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Live Lounge

"KT Tunstall also covered this song in Radio 1's Live Lounge, the cover featues in the compilation album Radio 1's Live Lounge: Volume 2."
