Requested move 10 March 2023[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: not moved. Consensus not to move; a discussion on moving Faker (gamer) here may garner consensus. (closed by non-admin page mover) BilledMammal (talk) 16:03, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

FakerFaker (disambiguation) – Faker should be a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT to charlatan as the primary topic by longterm significance. While it's unclear where the gamer got the name from, one can only assume it's a reference to the historical use of the term as, well, a fake, possibly in an ironic way. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 19:43, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. Fake has no ptopic, and lists plenty of possible uses for "fake", so its believable that a "faker" could mean many of those things too. And when it comes to google I get the gamer first, so I think it's better that someone should pick what they would like. --Quiz shows 22:13, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. If someone wants to look up the general concept of fake-ness, I find it highly implausible they'd look it up with "Faker", and there is no encyclopedic topic on Fakers really. Meanwhile the gamer is one of the most famous and successful e-sports players ever with multiple millions in winnings and huge cachet - I know Wikipedia editors tend toward geeky topics, but purely from a steely outsider perspective, this is at least as important as, say, famous talk show hosts even if you don't care about esports. His article had 80K views in the month of the Worlds final. SnowFire (talk) 05:23, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SnowFire: Would you then support the gamer being primary, given your argument of implausibility? If so please mention it. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 15:03, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Given that Wikinav says 100% of outgoing clicks are to Faker (Gamer), Faker (band) has 10-20 daily views, and everything else has single digit daily views, yes, I believe the gamer is primary here. So I would be fine with moving the gamer to "Faker" and moving this page to Faker (disambiguation). SnowFire (talk) 23:55, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fake friends[edit]

people who are considered fakers can also mean they are a fake friend which is someone who acts like ur friend and Is not behind ur back like for example "Rogue is a faker" or "Rogue is a fake friend" fake friends usually takes things from you and talk rude about you behind your back for example "rogue took my $80 for school" fake friends usually use excuses if they get caught acting suspicious make sure you stay safe out there because someone like rogue in my examples can be a fake friend so stay safe and make sure you look both ways crossing a street.
