Breakup[edit]

What year did the group break up? Badagnani (talk) 05:14, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They didn't really officially break up as not play for a long time.

BTW, my (Creative Commons) pictures from 2011 the NMA gig are available here, https://picasaweb.google.com/hastur/FallingJoys2011 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.45.99.193 (talk) 11:55, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've taken the year of disbandment as 1995: their last gig was on 5 October 1995 at Canberra's ANU. (see ref in article). Just prior to that gig, Higgie did not describe it as the end of Falling Joys, "But knowing that our lives are sort of changing, and we're all very good friends, and it's all very sweet, we wanted to do our last show in Canberra, for sure." She did say it would be "one of the last Joys shows for a very very long time." Such an extended hiatus, to my mind, is a de facto disbandment.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 21:28, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Associated Acts[edit]

Clouds, surely? In light of their collaboration on "A Winters Tale" from the album "Psychohum".

Yeah, for this and other reasons I've added the Clouds. Also added Get Set Go. Not sure about the Plunderers: they have a common member Pete Pillage / Peter Velzen; also the two bands often gigged together in their early Canberra days.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 21:28, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
