Overview

[edit]

Great job on first glance. Well prepared for GA. There are no e-books available for most of the sources so I can not give you a more in depth review.  ΤheQ Editor  Talk? 15:08, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi TheQ Editor – thank you. And thanks also for taking this article on. It's been gathering dust on the GAN pile for quite a while! JG66 (talk) 22:11, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sorry, but where is that requirement? (I've never had this issue raised in previous GARs, and I have to say I've very rarely used full-sentence

captions.) JG66 (talk) 22:11, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • "The Rainbow Theatre" should be "Rainbow Theatre" without "the" (unless there are more than one Rainbow Theatres)
  • Why do you need a reference for "Like Harrison"?
  • You mean before "Wood continued to incorporate soul music in his solo recordings …"? Well, it's purely to state that after they co-wrote "Far East Man" together, Harrison also recorded further songs in the genre. JG66 (talk) 22:11, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why is there not a reception section for Ronnie Wood's version?
  • Good question. It's simply that I've not found anything of note in the reviews I've got access to (here). Which is a reflection of how much more notable the Harrison version is compared with Wood's, I guess. From what I remember, the review and articles there mention that Harrison co-wrote the song but that's about it – because they tend to focus on the involvement of Keith Richards, Mick Jagger and Rod Stewart. Wood and Richards played some London concerts together earlier that year, which attracted plenty of attention from the press; plus, with Harrison not being credited on original copies of Wood's album, I think it's fair to assume that reviewers had no idea he also performed on "Far East Man". Thanks so much for the pass, @TheQ Editor: (and sorry for resorting to chasing you up on your talk page!). It's great to have this article through to GA after a long, long wait on the nominations pile … Best, JG66 (talk) 00:19, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
