The reasons why I think the article about Farid Zarif should not be deleted are: 1. He's a high-ranking official at the level of Assistant Secretary-General at the UN, right below the Secretary-General and Under Secretaries-General. It is important to have senior officials from the UN present in the wikipedia, so that the general audience could have a better idea of the person as well as the organization. 2. He's a seasoned diplomat from Afghanistan and had served as Deputy Foreign Minister for the country. Anybody interested in researching on matters related to Afghanistan or Kosovo might come across his name. Therefore having an article on Wikipedia containing his biographical information may be useful for those researchers. Because of the above mentioned reasons, I believe the article should not be deleted. Asdfjklo (talk) 18:38, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Asdfjklo, did you see this section that I put on your user page? It outlines some of the problems with your UN biographies. I agree that these are significant personalities who warrant an article, but they need to be properly sourced to more than a UN press release. Please come and discuss this back on your talk page.
