There's currently a tag on the article saying that the plot summary is "excessively detailed." I'm a musicologist and have used the film in my classes for the past five years. I find the plot summary to be pretty reasonable; there is a very long sidebar on production details, so shortening the article would only leave a big blank space on the page. I'm going to clip it about 10% and then remove the tag. Bmwilcox (talk) 17:04, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy?[edit]

There is a section headed “Controversy over historical depictions” which lists changes made from known history in the film, but doesn’t actually say why this is controversial, nor notes any controversy that might have happened upon or after its release. It may be useful to note that a film based on historical events and characters, and how the plot deviates from what is known, but it doesn’t follow that this is controversial, so the section heading seems misleading as it stands.
