Info Box photo[edit]

The photo removed was taken from here, as mentioned in source - https://twitter.com/DDNational/status/740876807205990401 has appropriate references. Think it should be re-uploaded. Lone1wolf (talk) 09:22, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Lone1wolf, you can't just add pictures from twitter or the internet. You have to learn what copyright means. Don't add content again without being clear on this matter. Regards, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 10:54, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Based on novel[edit]

Also the author of the series is Rafia Amin, her name appears in opening credits (external links have Youtube episode link, which shows author's name in opening credit). So it should be restored. Lone1wolf (talk) 09:22, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube can't be used as a source. George Custer's Sabre (talk) 10:54, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Plot[edit]

As for the plot, as I mentioned on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:GorgeCustersSabre talk page - I had done the plot story by watching the recent re-runs of the show on an Indian channel. Unfortunately, the original telecast was at a time when web and internet sites did not exist in India, and as a result newspaper archives are also not searchable from them. Therefore, the citations are impossible. Would request you to consider undoing the plot removal. Perhaps an expert editor on this topic (where citations for old TV series plot do not exist on web) can help us with this issue. Lone1wolf (talk) 09:22, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Lone1wolf, your plot discussion was subjective and excessive. If you want to cut it back in scale and keep it as a straight, tight narrative, go ahead. But don't stray, and don't waffle. Thanks and best regards, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 10:50, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi George Custer's Sabre

I checked with other editor(s) on the plot. The reason you had given for deletion was "‎Plot: All unreferenced. Do not add again without citations." However, on checking with editor, was told - " :Wikipedia:How to write a plot summary#Citations; WP:FILMPLOT. My interpretation is that a plot section should not need sourcing as long as it does not contain any analysis of themes or other subjective interpretations. "

I believe it is quite alright to include the plot without referencing. I have also seen other wiki pages on TV shows from 1980s, 1990s, and many have plot elaborated in extensive detail, unlike what I had put in. I will be adding the plot back later today.

Thanks, Lone1wolf (talk) 06:54, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Lone1wolf. As I said above -- read this page again -- your plot was excessive, subjective and unreferenced. So if you only address the issue of citations you'll doubtless write another overly long and subjective plot and it'll get deleted again. Don't do that please. Aim for neutrality. I've been following your edits for a while and you haven't quite got the hang of neutrality. Best regards, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 09:08, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi George Custer's Sabre, I have asked about it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Dispute_resolution_noticeboard#Talk:Farmaan Hopefully this can help resolve the issue. Thanks Lone1wolf (talk) 09:56, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Plot discussion post DRN closure[edit]

Hi George Custer's Sabre, I have looked at the featured articles page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Featured_articles) which lists best articles Wikipedia has to offer, as determined by Wikipedia's editors. There, I've seen a quite a few plot examples such as Mughal-e-Azam, Pride and Prejudice and will be using the same technique. I will be adding the plot today, if you have issues, please use the Plot template instead of completely deleting the plot. Thanks, Lone1wolf (talk) 07:29, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lone1wolf, I hope and pray you are well and in the best of health. You are free to add whatever you want to any page -- of course -- but if it is unreferenced, subjective or excessive any editors including me might revert all or part of whatever is added. I'm not an opponent. Best regards, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 14:33, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi George Custer's Sabre, I am good, thanks for asking. Hope all is well with you. I took a look at the Plot guidelines again today. It states The TV style guideline recommends 100–200 words; upwards of 350 words for complex storylines" for television episodes in episode lists, or "200–500" in standalone episode articles. My plot length is about 250 words, so not excessive. As for citations, it is stated on the same article that Citations about the plot summary itself, however, may refer to the primary source—the work of fiction itself. This is what I was doing, referring to the original broadcasted material while writing about the plot. Hope this makes it clear why my plot summary is not a rule violation. And the reason I gave above two examples of TV/Media. Thanks again, Lone1wolf (talk) 14:40, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
