Article

[edit]

The article says that the song is sung by May in the studio, wich is horribly wrong. What a mistake.--85.224.81.244 18:52, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Fucking disgrace that this was allowed to happen. I've changed it, don't worry.--Gustav Lindwall 18:54, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now it says Brian May sang lead on the chorus. Huw Powell (talk) 03:30, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The description of open tuning is inaccurate. It is tuned to Drop-D, which is a drop tuning, not an "open" tuning. An example open tuning would be Led Zeppelin's Bron Yr Stomp See the following --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar_tunings Moxell1 (talk) 22:51, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia section

[edit]

I only see 1 statement that is that relevant.....who cares what programmes have used it? Only the controversy related comment seems worthy of the article. Simon Acreman 21:44, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Revised

[edit]

I rewrote the POV statement regarding axioms as "serious" subjects. The current version should more adequately convey a neutral standpoint. Cheers. --Coldbourne (talk) 03:59, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cover versions?

[edit]

The article states there are numerous cover versions, but it's a dead link. Has that section been removed or just overlooked? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.2.68.116 (talk) 20:57, 31 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hard rock

[edit]

Marcos FTO Has added Hard rock to the genre section w/o discussion or consensus. Posting here to seek consensus of other page watchers. - FlightTime (open channel) 01:28, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Genres

[edit]

Fat Bottomed Girls is a glam rock song (mainly because of his lyrics, obvious), and have hard rock guitars too.[1][2] Marcos FTO (talk) 24 November 2018.

Fat Bottomed Girls is clearly a hard rock song, is heavy like a hard rock song. The original genres are "glam rock" and "hard rock", but an anonymous (or nearly a vandal) has removed "Glam rock", and now i'm just rescuing the original genres (with sources). I don't want to start a discussion, I only want to put one more genre (which is referenced and correct). Original old version, Anonymous change Marcos FTO (talk) 01:59, 25 November 2018.
@Marcos FTO: The discussion is not about if it's sourced or not, it's about do the page watchers think the source is reliable enough for inclusion. - FlightTime (open channel) 16:53, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@FlightTime: I understand. But many other wiki pages use AllMusic as a source. So if somebody (the page watchers) disagree with me, talk here in the Talk Page, right? (Marcos FTO) 17:02, 28 November 2018
Yes. thank you, - FlightTime (open channel) 17:05, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@FlightTime: So... can I put the genre now? Remembering: "If somebody (the page watchers) disagree with me, talk here in the Talk Page". (Marcos FTO) 17:13, 28 November 2018
No. Consensus needs to be reached before the contested material is included. The article is not going anywhere, whats the rush. - FlightTime (open channel) 17:20, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@FlightTime: When the "consensus" is reached? I still don't understand this. What is this "consensus"? (Marcos FTO) 28 November 2018
See WP:Consensus and please also review Help:Talk pages - FlightTime (open channel) 17:36, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@FlightTime: So we are waiting for a "third opinion"? --Marcos FTO (talk) 17:50, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Did you review the link I gave you above ? - FlightTime (open channel) 17:56, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@FlightTime: I still don't know what you want, I already show my arguments, but the "consensus" still not reached. I'm sorry, but can't understand these "consensus". --Marcos FTO (talk) 18:08, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Marcos FTO: Look, I am not spending all day going back and forth with you. Every question you have asked is explained here WP:Consensus READ IT. Have a nice day. - FlightTime (open channel) 18:12, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
