Page move[edit]

I am confused why you moved this page. "Secretary to Government of Pakistan" is simpler and more direct and nothing is gained by adding "(Federal Secretary)" to the page name, it just makes linking harder (when writing articles) and rely more on re-directs, plus it adds nothing to the reader but makes the article title much more cumbersome. In your move summary you wrote, "Federal Secretary is a more common term", which does not explain why is in quotation marks after the title, perhaps you mean it should be used instead of the original title? Maybe one of these options would be better to suit your aim:

  • Federal Secretary of Pakistan
  • Federal Secretary (Pakistan)
  • Federal Secretary to Government of Pakistan
  • Federal Secretary to Government (Pakistan)

Please write back here or on your talk page to discuss moving it to a simpler term. We only use parentheses in a article's name when there is a need to disambiguate, such as the multiple people named Rizwan Ahmed. Any other alternate names can be easily mentioned in the article's opening sentence. JesseRafe (talk) 21:25, 11 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Redirected[edit]

@JesseRafe:: Respected Jesse, I am confused as to why am I being redirected to this page when I click on 'Cabinet Secretary of Pakistan'. Can you help me with this. Thank you (Regent007 (talk) 16:01, 16 February 2018 (UTC))[reply]

Is there an article for Cabinet Secretary of Pakistan? I never saw one, so I don't know. Do you mean Cabinet Secretariat (Pakistan) or Cabinet of Pakistan? I know little about the topic. JesseRafe (talk) 16:04, 16 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
According to the history the page was merged and redirected with this edit. As there was little content on the page, it would seem HitroMilanese thought the articles were similar enough to need only one page to discuss. He or she would be able to answer further, I do not know. JesseRafe (talk) 16:07, 16 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I just wanted to figure out who redirected it so that I can address that, as I have done now. @JesseRafe: Thankyou for letting me know! (Regent007 (talk) 16:42, 16 February 2018 (UTC))[reply]
