Just a thought, and probably original research, but the ointment jar, emphasis on feet, and nudity suggest to me that this may have been intended to represent the Magdalene. Kafka Liz (talk) 22:22, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Could be, but the frilly discarded towel/clothes & jewellery maybe suggest not. Plus she's a bit too nude I think. Nobody seems to have suggested that. Do we really have only one other article on a work by him? Not to mention Italian Renaissance sculpture. Johnbod (talk) 04:22, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
