Pronunciation[edit]

Three vowels of the Persian language are not letters but signs indicated above, below or in front of a consonant. These are left out when a word is familiar. This leads to confusion when used in a sloppy manner, particularly as they are not represented in any mechanical or electronic font set-up, So Siavash or Siyavosh? I'll leave the argument to the experts but it can't be both. This is atrocious and an insult to Siavosh! Ferdowsi and Mr. Rahnema.
