New generation Palio

Dear user NaBUru38:

There's absolutely NO plans of create a new generation Palio. Do not follow the info published by Worldcarfans.com for example.

That media has confused the Grande Punto with southamerican specs with an all new Palio. Fiat do Brasil has already revealed that the facelifted Palio 'll be presented in the Sao Paulo auto show in October 2006.

The 1.0 16v engine was dropped in late 2004; the current 1.8 8 valve GM sourced 'll be dropped in 2007 due to the end of the joint venture between GM and Fiat in Brazil; that's why Fiat 'll make a new engine in Argentina. These two articles say differently: [1] [2]. Besides, if this was the Brazilian-made Grande Punto, the spyshots would not show it in a snowy environment, but a tropical or equatorial one. As this model will be a "world car", it is being tested in every climate, including snow (for the East European markets).

The spy photos showed by worldcarfans were taken in Sweden. The car is exactly the same the Fiat do Brasil has in the Betim factory in Brazil.

Hello. Thanks for expressing your concerns. My concerns with the link are these:

1. It is inaccessible to a substantial number of users. This is the English Wikipedia and the site is in Spanish.
2. It does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article would contain if it became a Featured article.
3. It seems to be mainly intended to promote a website, since the posts on the page are from somebody using a username the same as yours here.
4. Since I don't read Spanish I'm not sure, but since your username is the only one of the main page, I suspect this may be a blog or a personal web page.

Elipongo... the comments are little bit "light". This is an international fan site, accesible to every person, we are trying to create a worldwide fan site and we proudly have users from europe (turkey and poland mainly) and asia (india and china).

The website in question is not a personal page, is a complex information source created for owners of the cars and we are open to everyone.

I created this wikipedia page such as many others, and we are not taking any advantage; just giving people the chance to know more about the car.

I'm not sure what you mean by "light", my concerns are nearly direct quotes from the External links guideline. Also, since you refer to the site in the first person plural ("...we are trying to create a worldwide fan site and we proudly have users from europe...") it would indeed seem to be the case that you are directly associated with the site. Please address the concerns I raised in my previous post if you wish the link to be included. Also, as a side note, this article was created by an editor using an IP address registered to an ISP from London. It's a bad link under WP:EL. "Fan sites" are rarely appropriate to link and in this case the site violates several points in the "sites to avoid" section of WP:EL. The fact that you are invovled with the website means that you should not add the link yourself - see WP:COI - conflict of interest. The link has been removed by at least two other editors. Chassis development, models

In the article it says it is derived from de Punto:

The basic chassis was a development of the Fiat Punto, but little remained unchanged.

but in another sites for example: 12 it says it derives from the Uno
