Was this even necessary? No Filipino refers to themself as a Filipino Hawaiian. There is no such classification. Maybe a Filipino who was from the Hawaiian islands may try to exotify themself by saying that they are Hawaiian, given that they are from the Hawaiian islands which would conclude that automatically makes them a "Hawaiian" although they don't recognize Hawaii's continued sovereignty. Other than that, Filipinos will call themselves a Filipino. My father was born in Lahaina, but always called himself a Filipino. Mamoahina (talk) 18:08, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
