Entry needs More Info[edit]

I tried to make the bio more thorough by including when they released some of their earlier albums. But information from that time is so scarce. If anyone knows some helpful and TRUE things to add to the bio please do. Links to references are helpful as well. C&R 20:51, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stop using band's biographies as the article[edit]

I noticed many bands seem to have their biographies copied from their webpage or press kit and put into the article. This can be used as a reference but copying it exactly usually makes the article appear promotional (which usually they are).--Tooiha 08:26, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps if you would kindly suggest this ideal instead of commanding it people would be more apt to do something about it.

Name/NPOV[edit]

(Cross-posted from Talk:China (disambiguation)) How many people typing in Fine China is expecting to find a band, rather than porcelain? Perhaps the name of the band page should be changed to "Fine China (band)"?

Changing it to Fine China (band) works just fine. And to answer your question - there may be quite a few people looking for Fine China the band. But, of course, it is safe to say that the majority of the human race would be looking for Fine China the porcelain if they were to be searching for "fine china".

As far as the supposed "serious NPOV problems" - It was merely taken from an article written for the band when they released their 2001 album. Why so snippy? Have you actually heard the album? It is true that it was a very well received album. It was and still is appreciated by many. Perhaps you should actually check out the band before you bash...assuming that you have not already.

'Fine China the band' article still needs more work[edit]

I toned down the introduction so it does not sound so egotistical. It was difficult to do though since it was originally written as a promotional piece for the band. It is challenging to find any info or history for the band. Which is why I had to resort to using a press release for the introduction in the first place. I also added an image. An image that is safe to use because it was used for press releases and such.

Fair use rationale for Image:Finechinatheband.jpg[edit]

Image:Finechinatheband.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
