Talk:Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn/Archive 1
This seems interesting... Is there any data on how the game will be using the motion controller?
- Not yet, as only an anime trailer of the game has been shown--☆TBC☆ 00:41, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
US and European Release date
[edit]There is NO official relase date for the US or Europe. EB games and Gamefaqs are NOT offical, they do not decide. The first people to know will be Nintendo of America, and until a website is made, info is put into Nintendo Power magazine, or other OFFICAL announcement, ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING ELSE is speculation. Please respect this fact. Antsam 20:04, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Devdan and Nadved
[edit]Devdan doesn't support with Tauroneo, Nadved is mentioned in his support convos with Largo...
- Well, it appears to be fixed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.244.33.225 (talk) 01:45, 16 February 2007 (UTC).
Ilyana and Aimee
[edit]In this scan from famitsu I believe shows the group and circled is someone who looks very much like Ilyana from FE9, should this be listed. Aimee is also supposed to be in there (behind Ilyana) although I can't see her. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v139/VincentASM/FE10/410481.jpg 60.229.18.250 07:44, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- The key word is LOOKS like Ilyana, however without confirmation I don't think she should be included in the article. Remember, everyone though Micaiah was Ilyana at first.Sollegend622 16:24, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Artwork
[edit]In the article it says there is official artwork? Can we not upload it and put it on the page?
Move to Fire Emblem 10?

- As far I as I know, none of the the Fire Emblem video games have ever been referred to by series number (perhaps you're thinking of Final Fantasy?). Also, please remember that Nintendo hasn't announced the game's actual name yet, and Fire Emblem (Wii) is only a tentative title.--☆TBC☆ (aka Tree Biting Conspiracy) 19:41, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- Don't view messege boards much do you? Deuxhero 21:48, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
When Nintendo showed a montage of Wii game footage at the last E3 conference, the given title was simply "Fire Emblem," no numerals or subtitles, so not everyone thinks of the game as "Fire Emblem 10" or "Fire Emblem Wii" or even "Fire Emblem Next" as it appears in the table of the main Fire Emblem article. At this point, there isn't any real reason to change the article title since it's just as accurate as any other working title for the game, although it might be good to create a redirect page from "Fire Emblem 10" that leads to this article.-Hailinel 22:21, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- A redirect is fine. Post standard game articles around here have "(Wii)" or whatever platform in brackets if the name isn't known anyway. Pretty much standard. - Tetsuya-san (talk : contribs) 22:31, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- Just so everyone is aware, "Fire Emblem 10" and "Fire Emblem X" now redirect to this article.--Hailinel 23:20, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- Also, shouldn't Fire Emblem for the Wii be Fire Emblem 9, not 10? Afterall Fire Emblem Gaiden is a spin-off and not actually part of the main series (sort of like Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles).--☆TBC☆ (aka Tree Biting Conspiracy) 00:47, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- Not really. Fire Emblem Gaiden is still considered the second game in the series even if it does have some unusual play mechanics. It's not like Crystal Chronicles because the core of the game is still Fire Emblem-style strategy and not a completely different gameplay format.--Hailinel 04:13, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- I'm an NSider as well as a member of many other forums. Almost everybody refers to individusl games by either initials or number. (though this could be because the whole name would take too long to type) --DcPimp 18:55, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

WAY too much speculation
[edit]If you find yourself having to use the phrases "it is likely" or "it is possible", chances are that what you have to say is nothing more than a theory and has no place in an encyclopedia. Xubelox 07:05, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Ilyana vs New Girl.
[edit]Although I know that it seems like common sense to most everyone out there that has stopped to take a look at the artwork, not everyone is clear on the point that the unnamed new girl is not Ilyana, as evidenced by a recent edit by 200.223.232.194. I've reinserted some of the argument to fight this off a bit and to prevent future edits in the same vein. It can be removed once more information regarding the specifics of the new character become available. --Hailinel 18:15, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Title Announced
[edit]1up.com had someone at the Japanese press conference today playing with the game and they gave out the Japanese title. Whether it changes for the American release remains to be seen, but for now, this title should stand until an alternate English title is released. I've updated the template and moved the page accordingly.Rebochan 17:16, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, and in a recent issue of Nintendo Power (Volume ___), there was a letter in Pulse about this game and this article. NP stated that "just becuase it's on Wikipedia doesn't mean it's true," and went on to say how the US title hasn't been confirmed. - dogman15 2/5/07, 6:36pm, PST.
Release Date
[edit]Someone had added that this was a launch title for the Wii. I went ahead and removed it since the article that was cited stated release to be somewhere in 2007. Best as I can find, the release date is in Feb. 2007 for Japan. No word on US.Sollegend622 21:43, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
The NSider Forums have an official thread regarding the new game. It says plainly in the very first post, "no release date has been announced". That's coming from NOAs, and since they work for Nintendo of America, they'd know. --Pants of Destiny 22:04, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Like I said I have no idea on a US release, which obviously hasn't been announced, however the release date in Japan has been shown as February 2007 by GameFAQs.--Sollegend622 22:40, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Citation
[edit]I think we need to cite the source that said this game was taking place 3 years after PoR. I'm just saying because I haven't found a source for that information so if there is one we need to cite it.

Muarim
[edit]Yes, that picture is pretty darn low quality. It does show a Beast Laguz ally, though; an ally who looks disturbingly similar to Muarim. Incidently, this ally, regardless of whether he is Muarim or not, is pulling a Caineghis on us and has the "Fang" item equipped. Furthermore, he's attacking in human form.
There is no evidence saying these screenshots aren't true. They were taken from a Japanese gaming magazine. However, it does add some interesting details: Muarim's possible return and Laguz attacking outside Beast form. I would add these straight into the article, but I need a second opinion on this. --Pants of Destiny 21:34, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
There is a discussion about this on the GameFAQs board they also have another image from a Japanese magazine, presumably the same one, and it has a better angle of the Mikaya vs. Caineghis fight, although like your image it's also pretty low quality. The image looks like Muarim, but I don't think we should put that in, maybe a little thing about Laguz possibly being able to attack outside of beast form. We could move the sentence about Laguz using fangs to whatever section we'd put this into.Sollegend622 23:29, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- I've also seen the other image. It was in a link next to the one I found this one on, actually. --Pants of Destiny 19:57, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Stop speculating!
[edit]It's great that people have theories, but this is not the place for them. Please, no matter how likely or plausible your theory may seem, just wait until it's confirmed before adding the info. 199.126.137.209 11:29, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- Some of it is not speculation though, some are just asking for whether information should be put in the article. - Tetsuya-san (talk : contribs) 14:06, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- I agree that much of the speculation should be taken out. For example, though it's true that Sothe and Mikaya have been verified, none of the other characters seem to have thus they should be removed.--TBCTaLk?!? 15:02, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- The other characters in the article have either been in images from the game (Caineghis) or have been in a gameplay video so I think that including them is fine. The Muarim shot needs to be verified, however considering the source it is possible that he is in fact in the game. Although I wouldn't suggest putting him in the article until we have solid evidence. The image does show a Muarim looking Laguz attacking outside of beast form. Which might be something to include in the game-mechanics section if we have one.Sollegend622 16:18, 29 September 2006 (UTC)-
- But are the names of the characters seen in the video confirmed? After all, they could be just characters that only look similar to previous ones...--TBCTaLk?!? 19:34, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- The characters seen in the video i.e. Noyce, Eddie, Laura, and Leonard are indeed confirmed since their names were read from a gameplay video. Caineghis is confirmed since his name appeared in the caption of the image of Mikaya fighting the Pink Lion. Muarim however is unconfirmed. It's assumed to be him though since FE 9 characters had their own unique character designs. But like I've said Muarim is completely speculation (albeit highly probable) and does not need to be in this article however the others can stay until information is released to the contrary.Sollegend622 03:26, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- On the topic of Muarim, would it hurt to mention an unknown Beast ally bearing a striking similarity to him, or is it best left alone? --Pants of Destiny 19:49, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Umm, they might be confirmed, but the charcter info includes info like "this character may fill in the X archetype" which is kinda useless. It's making the article unnecessarily wordy about characters we know very little about. In fact, is it really necessary to point out in every sentence that "little else is known"? Even the very well based stuff, like that mikaya might be a lord because the autocursor scrolls onto her...why? Is wikipedia supposed to be an encyclopedia of theories generated on message boards?--Mr Bucket 17:42, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Caineghis Fang
[edit]Why was the line about Caineghis using a fang removed. That portion isn't speculation at all, in fact two seperate pictures show two different Laguz using fangs. I think that portion of the article needs to come back.-Sollegend622 20:41, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- I was wondering the same thing. The entire page wound up getting treated like gossip. Begnion's info, the ties the characters had with Mikaya, and a ton of stuff on Sothe...let's just revert it now and save the effort. --Pants of Destiny 01:22, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- Went ahead and reverted. Somebody needs to redo the Japanese names, though. --Pants of Destiny 01:31, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- Done and done. I did them in the first place. Copying Kana is a pain. I did, however, add a citation mark by the Dawn Group information. I have no idea where the whole 'Dawn Group' name and concept has come from, and would like to know. 84.66.143.97 01:33, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- Good idea for the citation tag. I don't know where it originated, either. --Pants of Destiny 18:40, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've seen someone on gamefaqs who spoke japanese seeing mention of the "Dawn Group" towards the end of the longer trailer, but I don't know of any definite confirmation. I suppose they could be making up malicious information to confuse people.--Mr Bucket 17:38, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- The "Dawn Group" came from the Gamevideos movie. Towards the end of the movie, Mikaya mentions she is a member of the "Dawn Group" (or "Group of Dawn"). The Japanese for it is "暁の団". Just check the movie and look out for it. Aveyn Knight 23:09, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Removal of Stub Tags
[edit]Seeing as enough information about the game has been made public to constitute a decent article, I'm gonna go ahead and remove the stub tags. --Pants of Destiny 00:58, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Rexaura
[edit]I'm not saying it isn't Rexaura, but I've not seen a source saying it is, either. Can somebody provide a link? --Pants of Destiny 20:45, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
If you can read Japanese then here's the image http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2006/256/932999_20060914_screen001.jpg I can't read what it says so you'll have to find someone to translateSollegend622 22:11, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- It is indeed Rexaura. If you look up "レクスオーラ" in babel or something, you'll get "Rekusuoora" (hopefully), which is basically (the romaji for) Rexaura. Aveyn Knight 23:12, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm not sure here
[edit]I just joined Wikipedia because of all the updating information. I was also hoping to be able to help (but I don't know much that anyone else doesn't). I went to check on Fire Emblem Wii and someone has written in... rather slopily might I add... a bunch of speculative nonsense. Someone should go in and clean up what can't be proved... I come here for my info on the new FE so I wouldn't know right from wrong. Pah, should I sign my name, er...?
- Okay, you can sign your name by hitting the tilde button (~) four times. Anyways, which areas of speculation are you talking about? If it's character speculation, we can remedy that easily. If it's the crapload of BS I just deleted from the locations area, we're done here. Which is it? --Pants of Destiny 00:38, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
MUCH MORE SPECULATION!
[edit]Sorry about before... (last post)
I'm new to Wikipedia and as the title points out I didn't quite realize what the hell I was doing in my last "comment". I may seem to be repeating myself but I wanted to do it in a more proper manner.
So here goes.
I'd like to address the following:
All this new stuff added to the Fire Emblem: The Goddess of Dawn article (I'm guessing around Oct. 17 or 18, 2006)
Including the sections:
"Crimea", "Daien", "Phoenicis", "Kilvas", "Goldoa" and "Unknown Nation?"
These sections ALL need to be SERIOUSLY edited and/or removed. I joined recently but I know enough to see that the information listed in the articles I mentioned sound like someone just trying to ASSUME what is going to happen based off of FE9. Although it IS a sequel to FE9, this is pure speculation and probably mostly nonsense.
I don't know what therein is rightor wrong but I do know that most of this crap probably doesn't belong because the author kept speculating and referring to other things that had been mentioned in the article. (Not to mention he couldn't spell)
I'd edit it myself, but like I said... I can't confirm or deny any of the information.
I just want to help, so I hope you all know I'm not trying to antagonize whoever wrote all that in... it's just not meant for wikipedia. I wanna learn, not learn what people think might be true. =) MLCamp 00:55, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Hah hah! Well, there we are, you got it... one step ahead of me. Pants... MLCamp 00:56, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Unconfirmed information and etc.
[edit]Kard has not been confirmed as a personal weapon. All we know is that he is using a new Knife called Kard. Muarim's identity has not been confirmed. It's strikingly obvious, but we still do not know for sure. Also why are there alternate names for Eddie and Noyce? Sticking to one name might be more convenient for the time being (since we'll probably get some Japanese official names later). Aveyn Knight 22:12, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- No comment on Kard, although the Kard article does suggest it could be a common weapon. Muarim is essentially a given, although if it bugs people that badly, I can word it so it states he isn't totally confirmed. Eddie and Noyce have two names because there are two ways to spell what the Katakana translates into. And if those aren't the official names, I'll eat my socks. This has been the Pants of Destiny speaking, working under his NSider name. --RidFanOne 23:18, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- I just went ahead and did the crap to Kard and Muarim. --RidFanOne 23:46, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- There are also multiple ways of spelling Leonard (Leonardo, Reonard, Leonald etc) and Laura (Lora, Rorla, Laula etc.). I don't see why Eddie and Noyce are special. It just seems a bit unnecessary to have multiple names at this early point. Aveyn Knight 12:54, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- We're using the ones most fans are using. Laura and Leonard are pretty well dominant. Eddie and Noyce have to dominate spellings. If it annoys just one person, we leave it alone. If you aren't the only one who cares, I'll change it. --RidFanOne 13:30, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- I can understand Laura, but what makes Leonard the only dominant name? I actually expected Leonardo to be used when the names were first revealed, but nobody used it. I'm not particularly familiar with names, but what makes Edie and Noys one of two dominant names? This is probably a bit crude, but I Googled Leonard and Leonardo and found they had nearly the same amount of results. Conversely Eddie had 10x more results than Edie and Noyce had 5x more results than Noys. Also if we're going by fan names, I tend to see more fans using Eddie and Noyce. Not saying Edie and Noys are wrong, but I'm sure you know what I mean. Aveyn Knight 15:48, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

- Hey guys, I have an idea! Why don't we wait until the game comes out when we know the official names, rather than rampantly adding speculation and fan translation to the article? Axem Titanium 20:31, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- ...Because what else are we going to call them at this point? And the speculation is largely taken care of. --RidFanOne 22:16, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- Another thing, which I forgot to mention before- Eddie has not been confirmed to be a Swordfighter/Myrmidon. The article only refers to him as a Kenshi (剣士). It does not state that his class is Kenshi. (Kenshi, not the class, means "sword user" so he could be a Mercenary, Myrmidon or a random new sword class.) Whereas in Sothe and Mikaya's case, it states their class is Thief and Light Mage respectively. If you remember some older articles, they refered to Mikaya as a Madoushi (魔道士), but I didn't see anyone list her class as Mage. Aveyn Knight 14:35, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, first of all, "Sword User" and "Sword Fighter" have both been translated out of Eddie's class. Most people know the latter of the two, though. Secondly, I wasn't aware this article existed back in the time you refer to for Mikaya's class (if I think you're talking about the same time I'm talking about), so that point really doesn't matter to me. Hey, I'm not trying to be a controller or whatnot, but that's my take on it. --RidFanOne 20:02, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- By article, I meant a Japanese magazine (if you meant a previous Wikipedia article or something). Also the problem with translating, is that you can get multiple translations from the original Japanese. Kenshi literally means swordfighter, but I referred to it as "sword user" to put the point across. (The Japanese language is a bit different from the English, so I felt like I needed to make a distinction between the two.) Then point is, Sothe and Mikaya's classes are directly stated ("Sothe's class is Thief" or whatever), whereas Eddie's class is implied, if that ("this is an image of the swordfighter, Eddie" or whatever). Aveyn Knight 20:17, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well, that cleared things up. I'm on another world right now...one full of insane Linus Reeds running around owning the pants off of Duke Renning (O_o). Disregarding my spam, thanks for alerting me to that. I was of another impression. --RidFanOne 20:42, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Dark Magic Returns
[edit]Do we want this in the article? piccyPiccy for dummies --Mr Bucket 19:46, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
I think we need a little more info. on it before we include it. Otherwise all that we'll have is "According to gameplay trailers Dark Magic, which was absent in Path of Radiance will make a return in this game. Explanation as to how this occurs has not been given." It's way to short and I think we need a little more.Sollegend622 19:08, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

New information and more corrections
[edit]1) Where did the information about Kard's stats come from?
2) Is the Sothe and Mikaya conversation really needed? (Again, where's the source?) Omitting the following sentence might make it more concise: "The player selects the command "Talk" when they are in adjacent spaces and it goes (as translated) as this:
Mikaya: It´s good to see you here... Sothe: ...Same too..."
3) Noyce does not have Protection. He has Shove and Nihil. I think people jumped to conclusions when they discovered Protection and saw the symbols on Noyce and Laura's faces. Those symbols just signified the face portraits were being worked on. Aveyn Knight 15:14, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
- No, Mikaya is not Ike and Elincia's child. A little old I might say. Anyway, we do need a source for the convo.Sollegend622 07:10, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- You can remove and add skills - who's to say that Noyce's player hasn't added Protection or removed it? Minimoose 22:56, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- It was taken from a demo, where the game put you directly in the chapter. How do you know Noyce even had Protection in the first place, and that you can remove and add skills like in POR? Just because something was once thought to be correct, doesn't mean it is. Aveyn Knight 19:48, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Sothe's weapon
[edit]I thought Kard had 25% critical not 15%. Are you sure that the % is 15?

New Characters
[edit]I notice that Rafiel and Nike have been added to the article. Is anyone planning on adding Elincia, Lucia, and Geoffrey? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sollegend622 (talk • contribs) 18:58, 20 January 2007 (UTC).
Are we keeping this crap about Raphael and Nike? I have seen all the rumors and the pictures but it seems a little early. It is also stated really badly... I'm not certain that this is appropriate until we have more info... hm? For now, I'm atleast going to try to weed out some of the "Believed to be" and grammatical errors. Peregrine 18:56, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
On that note, I fixed the grammar and I have seen the name to be "Raphael" instead of "Rafiel". These people like to make references, and he looks like an angel...so if either name is right that one probably is. I'm still not sure how truthful any of this information is. If someone with translating abilities could take a look at the pictures that have been going around...it would be helpful. Peregrine 19:01, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v139/VincentASM/FE10/nindori2_3.jpg That is an image of the scan that shows his name as Rafiel currently. It's from Nintendo Dream Magazine so I think it's pretty accurate.Sollegend622 19:54, 22 January 2007 (UTC) That is does! I hadn't seen that. Good then, I'd say that counts. Red Armor
[edit]"In Nintendo's E3 2006 trailer, Sothe and Mikaya appear to be fighting Begnion troops (in Path of Radiance, Begnion soldiers wore red armor)."
I don't like this line and think it (and all other comments concerning Begnion and red armor) should be removed for a couple reasons.
1) Enemies have always had red armor in Fire Emblem games.
2) It is speculation (once again) Unoriginal Username 22:56, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Actually the enemies in Path of Radiance, Daein soldiers, had black armor, with a red circle around them as units.Sollegend622 22:59, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Its true that daien soldiers had black armor in the past game, but the fact that the troops are begnion isnt that unbelievable. Apparently in this story line, begnion is oppressing the Daien refugees.

[edit]I believe these two are the same person. Anyway, he's got a site, Serenes Forest, which has quite a lot of information we've left without citation in this article. I've noticed that he's also active here. He does a much better job than we've done of noting the sources of the various info he's posted, and gets info from Japanese sites, so it might be a good idea to refer to his site, as well as to his references. Right now many of his images are broken, but he still has links in his goddess of dawn section to many Japanese magazines and such.--Mr Bucket 23:14, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't mind using information from my site, however I'm a bit wary of original work (i.e translations). I've seen my translations being practically copy and pasted and I'm wondering if my site or I should be receiving credit... Also some of the translations were done on a whim and thus loosely- biological weapons indeed (not saying it's incorrect). Aveyn Knight 20:05, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
Quick Question
[edit]The tigers and herons were talked about, and even a new tribe was announced. But what I want to know is-are the hawks and ravens going to make a comeback in this game? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 168.170.197.10 (talk) 14:07, 2 February 2007 (UTC).
- Recent footage shows Tibarn in an FMV sequence, which would suggest that the hawks do play some role. I haven't seen anything on Naesala or the ravens, but I wouldn't rule them out from returning.--Hailinel 04:54, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
New Info fix
[edit]Micaiah was not fighting Schriml, Caineghis' nephew. This screenshot (copy and paste the link) clearly shows the Lion's name as Caineghis. Jill is likely not promoted since she has 24 HP. Her class is Dragon Knight, otherwise known as Wyvern Rider in the English versions. Aveyn Knight 19:46, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- On the Jill topic, if she's not promoted, then why is she using an Iron Axe? Unless they've changed up the Wyvern Rider weapons again. Anyways, just thought I'd point that out. --Ben Goes To Walmart 17:54, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- Why can't she use an Iron Axe? Class names are just labels- they don't determine what weapons the class can actually use. In the past, Fighters and Berserkers have used Swords, Wyvern Riders have used Swords + Lances, Mage Knights have used Swords + Anima, Bishops have used Anima+Staves, etc. Aveyn Knight 20:01, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- As that true as that may be, considering that this game takes place in the same universe as the previous one, it's unlikely that the weapons available to specific classes would change.YeahYeah SureSure 06:47, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Being the same Universe doesn't mean things can't change. From FE4 to 5 High Priests swapped Anima for Light, Sisters gained Anima magic. From FE9 to 10, Lumina was dropped, Knives gained weapon ranks, Laguz can fight untransformed, Armour Knights are now weapon-specialised like horseback Knights, etc. Aveyn Knight 14:14, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- Would you just leave it alone for right now? We'll know in a couple weeks anyway so just let it be for now.Sollegend622 06:57, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- What kind of excuse is that? ...And I thought Wikipedia was striving for truth and accuracy. Just don't go complaining when fans blame this site for providing false information. Aveyn Knight 14:14, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- You seem to have missed what I was saying. I was wanting to say to leave any info. about Jill's class out of the article for right now. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and speculation does not belong. So unless we have concrete evidence one way or another...If you've translated the class, then put both the Japanese name and the translation next to it.Sollegend622 14:27, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah I did. One less piece of speculation would be appreciated so it'll be gone. I'll also go and aheadn and split Caineghis and Schriml's section, unless somebody has proof that they are the same. Aveyn Knight 16:34, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Kurthnaga
[edit]I don't keep completely up to date on GoD but this section seems completely speculative. I fixed the grammar, but anyone feel free to erase it if you feel the same. Peregrine 04:24, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
I agree, it's just a black dragon, there's no proof that it is KurthnagaSollegend622 14:27, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Dealt with, thanks for your input. Peregrine 15:50, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Release Date
[edit]The June 1 release date should probably not be trusted at the current time. Game FAQs probably got the info. from one of the retail sites which as we know aren't the most accurate. For now I think it should remain Q2 2007, or TBA 2007.--Sollegend622 07:14, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
I also believe that the release date is a bunch of craaap. It's too soon to know... Peregrine 16:42, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Cleanup notice
[edit]This article needs a restructure. Filled with character lists, inappropriate terms, etc. Any ideas? - Tetsuya-san (talk : contribs) 11:20, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- The other thing - the progress in adding names has turned this article into a character list. This is not something that should be contributed to. - Tetsuya-san (talk : contribs) 11:22, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm no good at "restructuring" at all. Nor am I an advanced Wikipedian. But, I do think that for starters we could cut down the information in the general information section before the article begins. We can create a seperate section for gameplay mechanics/graphics and place the information regarding the gameplay mechanics there. (Also eliminating the seperate "Gameplay" section at the end.) We can eliminate the speculation about the roles Sothe and Micaiah play in the general information since it is pretty much restated word by word in their character information. For the plot section, I think the ellipse should be removed from the end. No need for suspense in an encyclopedia. The character section, perhaps should be split up into sections much like in the Path of Radiance article perhaps with "The Dawn Group" a paragraph explaining The Dawn Group and characters of great importance who are confirmed to be in it. (Sothe, Mikaya) Perhaps also list "Begnion" and Zelgius and the information about that. Also add a list of "other confirmed characters" maybe? Well, these are just suggestions, and... there ya go. Peregrine 16:34, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- A character list at all would be horrid. Final Fantasy X does have a character section, but if you see, it's a subsection, and the text for it is prose, not a giganticv list that negates the Contents box. - Tetsuya-san (talk : contribs) 20:59, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
I do see exactly what your problem is. I don't feel comfortable doing major editting, nor do I know exactly what to do so hopefully someone with more experience can clean this article up a bit. Peregrine 21:51, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
It might be best to create a character list article, as there are for several of the other Fire Emblem games. That would eliminate a large chunk of the clutter right there. In any case, not much else can or should be added to the character section at this point because most everything that's been put in there so far is nothing more than confirmation of the characters' existence within the game. Many of the new characters will likely receive name changes in the English language version, as well. In any case, the article does need to be cleaned up.--Hailinel 06:14, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
There we go. That should clean things up considerably. --Hailinel 06:49, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, that's pretty much what I was suggesting but better. (the bulleted style listing and whatnot, a lot like the PoR article) It looks really nice! Good job and thanks, Hailinel. Peregrine 15:30, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Mikaya/Micaiah
[edit]Where did the name 'Micaiah' come from? Is it official? It's a very odd spelling. Unless given by an official source, surely the name Mikaya should be used? Her name is Japanese, after all.88.111.43.234 18:51, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, there's a source. Aveyn Knight 19:03, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Media Reception
[edit]Has anyone considered including the recent Famitsu scores as the start of media reception? It scored 8/8/8/9. Ashnard talk 14:10, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Returning characters
[edit]Erm... do we have a link to the video depicting Zihark and Tauroneo? Just wondering, it might be nice to cite the source for that info... plus I wanna seeeeeee it. Peregrine 01:29, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Mia, and Nephenee...? Source? Wait... Ike, and Titania, as well? Ahh. Where did this all come from? Peregrine 18:52, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- There's a new flood of info coming in, but I haven't heard anything about any of those four... I have heard that Ilyana and Maurim are confirmed to return though. I have no source, however, so I'm not adding it yet. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.244.33.225 (talk) 19:10, 20 February 2007 (UTC).
I guess so close to the Japanese release date it'd going to be hard to keep track... Peregrine 19:12, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- I found the source... apparently some Japanese guy got hios hands on a GoD game and is now leaking all sorts of info... I'm not sure if we can trust it though. There are some really outrageous stuff being said, like that the Black knight joins as a playable character in Chapter 9. >.> —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.244.33.225 (talk) 19:57, 20 February 2007 (UTC).
GameCube Saves
[edit]According to GoNintendo, saves from the GameCube Fire Emblem will be in some way compatible with the new Wii version. Kelvingreen 20:32, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
